Come join the Salt ’n Light staff for five days of hands-on creative arts training and experience. All campers will have the opportunity to learn about the heart behind creative arts, worship, and directing others toward God in imaginative ways. Then, through our Major tracks and seminars, we will work with campers to develop pieces specific to their interest, teaching and working with them through brainstorming, creative development, writing, acting, directing, dancing, leading worship, producing and more. All of this will be set to the backdrop of a camp environment with focused time on relationships, worship, and going deeper in faith.

Details about Creative Arts Overnight Camp 2022

We are so excited to be partnering with Messiah University for this year’s Creative Arts Camp! Students will have the opportunity to stay on campus and make use of Messiah’s state of the art facilities. We will have access to multiple dance studios, theatres, music and practice rooms, art studios, and the beautiful campus atmosphere. Students will stay in the dormitories and eat in the dining hall, allowing them to experience a taste of university life while also getting all the wonderful things creative arts camp usually offers. There will be creative arts training throughout the day and sessions of worship, small groups, and teaching in the evenings. And of course, there will be ample free time for hanging out with other students and staff!

  1. Major Tracks- This year we will be offering 6 major tracks of study: Music, Drama, Advanced Dance, Beginner/Intermediate Dance, Fine Arts and Photography, and Production Tech. When registering, please choose a major track of study. This will be the main focus of your week at Creative Arts Camp
  2. Minor tracks/Seminars- Each year, we have a wide variety of offerings outside of major tracks of study so that students can get a well rounded experience! We will be offering minor tracks or seminars that students can sign up for closer to the beginning of camp. You don’t need to worry about registering for these now, but be on the lookout for an email in June to sign up for these exciting elements as well!
  3. Check in/out- Camp will run from Sunday  July 10th at 6pm-Friday July 15th at 9pm. Students will be dropped off for check in from 6pm-7pm on the 10th and be picked up after the closing program on Friday evening.
  4. Closing Program- On July 15th we will have a closing program to celebrate the students’ hard work. Please join us Friday evening from 7pm-9pm for this exciting night and see everything your students have created and practiced throughout the week. Additional friends and family are welcome to join as well!
  5. Dance track update- We will be splitting the dance track into two separate tracks. One for beginner/intermediate (0-4 years of dance experience), and one for advanced dancers (4+years of experience). Please sign up for the appropriate level if you are considering dance.
  6. Limited space- We sometimes have to limit the amount of spaces in each track to make sure students get the appropriate level of teaching and attention. Sign up as soon as possible to make sure you get your first choice!
  7. Covid 19 protocols– We will update you closer to the beginning of camp about covid procedures. We will use CDC guidance and local case counts to determine if masking or testing will be necessary as a part of camp.

Creative Arts Camp Ticket Pricing

CAC Early Bird (March 4th- end of day April 15th)
CAC Regular (April 16th- end of day May 31)
CAC Last Minute (June 1-end of day July 1)

Registration will officially close after 7/1 unless we determine there are enough spots left to leave it open for a limited time afterward. It is STRONGLY recommended that you register BEFORE the end of the day on July 1st.
