As we gear up for our Summer 2024 ministry season, Salt ‘n Light Youth Ministry is thrilled to anticipate God’s work through our events, including the much-loved Impact festival, a cornerstone of our mission, “Youth Reaching Youth With the Gospel of Jesus Christ” for over 25 years. However, with the recent announcement that Camp Greene Hills—our long-standing Impact venue—is closing, we are both saddened and motivated to make Impact 2024 our last at this beloved location.
Starting in 2025, the Impact festival will move to The Junction Center in Manheim, PA. This final gathering at Camp Greene Hills will be a celebration of the transformative experiences shared by thousands over the years. We invite our community to join in this last celebration from July 24-28, 2024, and to pray for a smooth transition for all involved as we look towards a future filled with hope and continued ministry at our new venue.
The Impact festival combines powerful praise and worship sessions, challenging breakout seminars, ambitious athletic and outdoor activities, life changing lessons from God’s Word with seven main stage gatherings, and a relational emphasis through group building and campfire settings.
Camp Greene Hills offers the perfect blend of wilderness and convenience on 222 scenic acres in Huntingdon County. Group cabins, and RV park sites, and “tent city” are available on a first come, first served basis. Shower facilities and access to drinking water are available in each area.
IMPACT 2024 SUMMER THEME…
Un/expected
God has often moved in the unexpected things. Jesus was an unexpected Messiah, Mary an unexpected mother, Paul an unexpected Christ-follower. And in the stories of old, the Lord used unexpected people and circumstances. God appointed the smallest and the least to be King, made outcasts and wanderers the mothers and fathers of nations, spoke through tired donkeys and giant fish. When all believed God’s voice to be loud like thunder, it came in a still small whisper. And in the stories of today, we remember God moving in the unexpected moments—whispering at the lunch table, breaking through the noise at the bus stop, wrapping us in peace when peace shouldn’t make sense. Because in the unexpected situations that life brings, we serve a God who we can expect to move. So why are we still surprised? As people of faith we should EXPECT the healer to heal, the Creator to create, the redeemer to redeem. We should EXPECT the impossible things to be possible, and the old things to be made new. We should expect that God is a God who keeps promises, awakens hope, and continues to be faithful even when our faith is shaken. This Summer, Salt’n Light invites you to explore the unexpected and unfamiliar places, delving into the Love of a God who we can expect to show up and do more than we could ever ask or imagine. This summer we have wild and wonderful expectations…do you?
