22 Nov The SnL Christmas Song Advent Calendar!
Okay. So here’s the deal.
There’s 33 days till Christmas. From this moment. Right now.
I KNOW ordinary advent calendars usually start on December 1st, but c’mon..this isn’t an ORDINARY BLOG. And, I know I speak for most of our staff when I say, the time for Christmas is upon us! We don’t have to wait until after Thanksgiving, or until abc Family begins their 25 days of slightly-cheesy-but-we-watch-all-of-them-anyway movies. Why push off the Christmas spirit until one month before, when we can sing and celebrate and LOVE right now?!
So here’s the deal (really). I have asked our amazing staff to each send me two of their favorite Christmas songs. And I, in my love for Christmas, will be pinning and posting photos and stories of Christmasy things I see or hear about and sharing them with you.
And most of all, in this season, let us not forget the reason we are so full of joy and hope: the birth of our Savior. So we will also be sharing the sweet scriptures that lead us from the mere prophecies and whispers of his life, to the story of his coming into our world. It’s beautiful stuff my friends.
There’s 33 days until Christmas. So every day until Christmas, you will get one Christmas song, submitted by one of your friendly Snl Staffers, perhaps a fun Christmasy post, and a scripture to keep Christ close to our thoughts.
But, what fun is life without a little competition? So, each day, all of you, our lovely followers and readers, have the chance to vote for your favorite Christmas song of the ones that are posted! All you have to do is “like” the post, and your vote will be cast for that song/SnL staff choice. But it doesn’t end
there. You can vote for up to 5 songs. Each time you vote, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $15.00 itunes gift card! The SnL staffer who gets the most votes for their song will also win a special prize! So make sure to check back, cast
your votes, and bring a Salt ‘n Light staffer (and maybe YOU!) an extra-merry Christmas!
It’s 33 days till Christmas! We can’t wait.
Happy listening! And Merry Christmas.
