Because only we have grown men doing interpretive dance.

Here at SNL Teen Camp 2010, it’s open mic night, and we have acts ranging from karaoke, paper airplane contests, rapping, apple-eating, opera singing, and interpretive dance by grown men. Although there are a whole lot of acts that are just for fun, it’s really awesome to see the God-given abilities of so many of the campers and staff here at camp. I’m actually writing this blog as the acts unfold, watching a 22 year old dressed up as Toby Keith rapping to “Jesus Freak” by DC Talk, which has just followed a high school wrestler dancing to “Fireflies” by Owl City. It doesn’t get more entertaining than this, people.

The week as whole has been nothing short of amazing. Campfires, small group times, and group games have created memories for everyone involved (although, some bad memories may have been generated regarding Kix Cereal, shaving cream, and Cheetos…). It’s so hard to believe that it’s only 3 days into camp, and yet there have been awesome relationships forged by everyone here at camp. Overall, it’s been a phenomenal 3 days so far here at Quest Haven Lodge.

And just for reference, Christie Miller has counted, and there are

92 antlers on display here at the lodge.
