12 Mar So much in so little time…
We’ve been so busy lately seeing God work through so many events that it’s been hard to keep up with blog posts. So here’s a basic run-down of what’s been going on:
The S’nL team split to take on Outdoorsman’s
camp at Quest Haven Lodge, and the York Mission Trip in the same week. Both events presented some incredible memories, and both teams saw God work in amazing ways in and through the youth that were with us on these events. Personally, I was at Outdoorsman’s camp, which is probably one of the only summer camps where firearms aren’t just encouraged – they’re necessary. We had a bunch of young men with an incredible passion for the outdoors all come together for a week of learning, worship, and fellowship together. It was incredible.
Right after this double-feature of ministry, the team rejoined to head to Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania for
a series of Rallies on the 2010 Praise Rally Tour. Silver Springs, Hagerstown, and Jacobus were on our list of churches to stop at. We encountered some incredible people on these rallies, and were privileged to watch God work as youth from all walks of life were ministered to through dance, drama, song and the Word. After being on the road for a few days, the team packed up, and headed home to catch a few restful nights of sleep before Impact.

We kicked off the week of Impact with another praise rally at Camp Hill United Methodist. The next day, we headed up to Greene Hills, and started preparations for Impact. Tents were assembled, showers rebuilt, sound systems set up, and dances and dramas were practiced over and over. On Wednesday, campers from all over
Pennsylvania arrived, and we finally kicked off Impact 2010: GO. Bands like Mars Hill Orchestra, Saline, Freddie Colloca, and the Salt ‘n Light Band all were on main stage, and youth had the opportunity to participate in seminars on everything from mission work in Uganda, to learning to deal with sexual temptations. By the end of the week, we had all become a tight-knit community there on the grounds, and it was an emotional Saturday night around main stage and group camp fires as we closed out the week. By 1:00 pm the next day, the grounds were clear of campers, the sound and video systems on the stage had been dismantled and packed, and the S’nL team left for another year.

After a week of break, the team split again to take on the Pee Dee mission in South Carolina, and another series of Rallies in Maryland. Although the Maryland Rally team has finished for now, we are still praying for the entire mission team currently in McColl, South Carolina.
Clearly, there’s been a lot going on in the past few weeks. We’ve seen God move in incredible ways, and there is still more left in our summer schedule. We’re still excited to see what else he has in store for us.
